Induction Sessions for advanced geosciences students and young professionals
¨Geoscientists in the Oil and Gas Industry: professional development within a company¨
This talk is designed to provide information about the different roles a geoscientist may hold within the oil and gas industry, their professional development in companies in the sector, and their daily tasks, based on the experience of young professionals.
During this talk, young professionals will speak about a geoscientist’s role within a corporate environment, their professional development, and the specific tasks they carry out. Since the speakers have gone through different experiences, they will share their own perspectives on a geoscientist’s career pathway from the very beginning.
Field Trips
This activity is designed to emphasize the importance of field trips in a geoscientist’s education and professional development, as a useful tool to apply knowledge acquired either at university or during the early years in the industry as young professionals.
Special Award to Young Professionals
During the 12th CONEXPLO Award Ceremony, a special award will be presented for the best technical contribution by young professionals.
This initiative aims to encourage the participation of young professionals in the early stages of their careers in the hydrocarbon industry at the 12th CONEXPLO. It seeks to strengthen their professional ties with the industry they have chosen for their career development, and to reward the commitment and excellence demonstrated by those who make valuable technical contributions to CONEXPLO topics.
