Symposium: EOR. Enhanced Oil Recovery in Conventional and Non-Conventional Fields
"EOR Recover – Innovate – Move forward"
Mature fields and under-exploited fields pose a challenge that leads to more efficient water injection practices. This means we’ll be able to adapt this water to the reservoir’s needs and scanning conditions to improve hydrocarbon recovery based on a more efficient scanning of conventional targets. We have thus developed polymer injection techniques, surfactant conformance gels, etc., with development in mature Argentine basins with long-proven results, that extend their life cycle.
The results from challenging expansion plans, particularly those related to polymer injection, have been amazing results in terms of oil flow rates, incorporation reserves, mature fields revitalization, and carbon fingerprint reduction due to an efficient fluids management.
Likewise, good EOR practices in non-conventional reservoirs have shown improved results by achieving greater hydrocarbon contact through the fractures.
In a demanding and competitive energetic world, EOR technologies not only improves performance but also achieves sustainability goals.
Objectives:
Share with the energy community the contributions from EOR technologies and their impact on production and sustainability; show a wide range of studies from lab to field trials, pilots, reservoirs simulation, developments, plans and forecasts that allow the increase off recovery factors. EOR projects have succeeded in extracting those hydrocarbons that the waterflooding process itself had failed to produce; they reinvigorate and enhances our horizons with nearly the existing facilities. Moreover, we aim to share EOR’s scope and potential in non-conventional reservoirs.
Also the objective is exchanging ideas and experiences that enable the attendees to contribute value to those projects they may be involved in.
