Those interested in submitting a technical paper in #CONEXPLO26 (Topics, Symposiums, Geotechnology Conferences) will need to previously upload an abstract to the Congress WebSite (SISCON) to enable its evaluation by the Technical Committee.
Subject to the Technical Committee’s approval, the abstract involves the author’s commitment to submitting the full paper. The date for Abstracts submissions within the Students Program has not been fixed yet.
The abstract shall be a minimum of 100 words and a maximum of 400 words. It shall summarize the objectives, methodologies used and conclusions of the author’s contribution.
All works will be unpublished, have no commercial purposes at all, and will not include advertising material
To present their papers, at least one of its authors will be required to register for the Congress. The IAPG Will not fund any participants whose papers have been approved.
The 12th Hydrocarbon Exploration and Development’s Technical Committee believes that all technical papers submitted for approval shall meet, without exception, any strict standards in force against plagiarism. Upon their review by a team of highly renowned auditors within the oil industry, those papers which may have been deemed a case of trading or intellectual plagiarism will be rejected and their authors will be given due notice by the Technical Committee.
Only those abstracts and papers that have been uploaded unto the IAPG Congress System (SISCON) Will be accepted.
> Synopsis (abstract) requirements
1. They may be written in Spanish or English. Important: The synopsis (abstract) shall be in English if the paper is written in Spanish.
2. Up to one graphic may be included. Do not include bibliographical references or keywords.
3. Upon uploading their Synopsis, the authors will be required to suggest which Topic, Symposium or Conference their contributions belong to. The Organizing Committee reserves the right whether to accept this suggestion or not, and will be entitled to assign the work to a different Topic or Symposium.
4. The authors will also be required to indicate the presentation modality: spoken or poster, or both. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to change the author’s option.
5. The abstract’s approval shall not entail the automatic approval of the final Technical Paper. Once the interested party has been given notice of his/her abstract´s approval, he/she shall be able to upload the final Technical Paper to SISCON for its review and final approval. Technical papers will have from 6 to 20 pages and meet the editorial format that will be soon released.
